The Anchor of Love is an organisation that has the needs of its service users at heart. It is a user led service. Formed in 2013 as a social group, we work to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their families in Royal Borough of Greenwich.
OUR AIM
Our aim is to provide leisure activities and support in a friendly and mutually supportive environment to enable people to grow and develop.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to improve the health, well-being and confidence of children and young people with disabilities in fulfilling their dreams and aspirations.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to promote the inclusion of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in the community and to be meaningful contributors in society.
Donate to our Service
We provide leisure activities for people from the age of 8 to 25 thereby giving them an avenue to experience a wide range of social activities and form long lasting friendships.
We have actively engaged children and young people with disabilities and their families in physical activities over the years, developing and finding new ways to expand people’s opportunities as well as exposing our children to new experiences.

<< OUR STORY >>
OUR PROJECTS
Children and young people with disabilities often miss out on group and social activities due to the lack of suitable options available. This creates a barrier for their development and well-being and often causes alienation for families. There is a dire need of activities and venues for children and young people with disabilities and their families in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Keeping. This in mind, The Anchor is working on a project to develop a community hub
for children and young people with special needs. Called the Anchor Community Hub, it would be a pioneering project of its kind and would be the creation of and for the parents and carers of the children and young people it is being designed for. The hub would house a variety of activities and services designed specifically keeping in mind the wide spectrum of needs and abilities of our children and young people.
