The Anchor of Love is an organisation that has the needs of its service users at heart. It is a user led service. Formed six years ago as a social group, we work to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their families in Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Our aim is to provide leisure activities and support in a friendly and mutually supportive environment to enable people to grow and develop.
We provide leisure activities for people from the age of 8 to 25 thereby giving them an avenue to experience a wide range of social activities and form long lasting friendships.
We have actively engaged children and young people with disabilities and their families in physical activities over the years, developing and finding new ways to expand people’s opportunities as well as exposing our children to new experiences.
We are aiming to setup a disability facility that not only introduces new activities to a wide range of people with various disabilities but also introduces simple exercise to those people who may not have had the opportunity before.
Our mission is to improve the health, well-being and confidence of children and young people with disabilities in fulfilling their dreams and aspirations.
Our vision is to promote the inclusion of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in the community and to be meaningful contributors in society.
